Whole organic saffron threads

They stay in the bottle; only the oil comes out.

Organic saffron extract. Visible organic threads. One golden glow.

The Serum

Heritage in the bottle. Science in every drop.

Saffron has been prized for skin for centuries — but heritage alone is not enough. ALIF pairs organic saffron with the actives modern skincare actually runs on.

01

You can see the saffron

Most saffron serums infuse the threads and strain them out before bottling. Ours stay in — whole, intact, and visible through the clear glass, slowly tinting the oil gold while the threads themselves stay crimson. What you see is what is in it.

02

Nothing decorative

Ten considered ingredients and nothing decorative: THD vitamin C for brightness, bakuchiol for renewal without retinol's irritation, centella for firmer-looking skin, CoQ10, licorice, rosehip, sea buckthorn, bisabolol, and vitamin E in a sugarcane squalane base.

03

Honest timelines

No cosmetic rebuilds skin in a week, and we will not pretend otherwise. Hydration and glow arrive fast; tone and firmness are built over weeks. That is the deal, stated plainly — see exactly what to expect, and when, below.

    Our Saffron

    Not all saffron is equal.

Organic saffron does more than colour the oil gold. Its natural compounds — crocin and safranal — are powerful antioxidants that help skin look brighter, calmer, and more even in tone. Because ours is grown organically, it carries no synthetic pesticide residue onto your skin.

Saffron is the most adulterated spice in the world, so “saffron” on a label proves nothing. Ours is organic saffron from Afghanistan — hand-picked crocus stigmas, dried whole — and every lot is verified before it is allowed anywhere near a bottle. Because the threads stay visible in the finished serum, there is nowhere for a weak lot to hide. The ingredient you can see is the ingredient we have to prove.

    • ISO 3632 Category I minimum — the highest standard grade for colouring strength, flavour, and aroma.
    • HPLC authenticity testing on every lot — because a grade certificate alone cannot detect synthetic dyes.
    • Full contaminant screens — pesticides, heavy metals, microbial, and mycotoxins.
    • Whole threads only — no powder, no extract substitution, no dyed filler.

    What to watch for elsewhere

Some saffron on the market is dyed with synthetic colourants, or bulked out with powdered plant material that is not saffron at all. Synthetic dyes and pesticide residues can irritate sensitive skin — and you would never know they were there, because the colour looks the same.

Many serums also lean on synthetic fragrance — one of the most common causes of cosmetic skin reactions — drying alcohols that strip the skin barrier, and synthetic dyes that add colour without adding care. We leave all of them out: no synthetic fragrance, no synthetic dyes, no drying alcohols.

    The Ritual

    Two minutes, twice a day.

    Step one

    Shake gently

A soft shake redistributes the threads through the oil. The threads remain in the bottle when you dispense — this is normal, and it is the point.

    Step two

    Press, don't rub

Warm 2–3 drops between your palms and press onto a clean, slightly damp face and neck, morning and evening. Damp skin helps an oil spread thinner and absorb better.

    Step three

    Massage upward

Work upward until absorbed. In the morning, follow with sunscreen; in the evening, ALIF can be the last step of your routine.

Directions: Shake gently before use. Threads remain in the bottle — this is normal. Apply 2–3 drops to a clean, slightly damp face and neck, morning and evening. Massage gently upward until absorbed.  Warnings: For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children. Patch test on a small area before first use.  Storage: Store in the box, away from direct sunlight and heat. Oil may deepen in colour over time — natural.
